Prayer carried on the waters
Prayer raining from the sky
Prayer flowing on the winds

Drenched in blood red roses
The dawn blooms on a city of truth
Dancing women barefooted and fierce
Bring the day in with slow low dappled smiles

Young warriors hold a sacred peace
With more restraint than gravity itself
Defend the sacred waters
Defend the sacred land

We can choose to seek to serve what gives us life without thought of personal fortune
We are dancing in the jaws of the great black snake

What will we tell our great grandchildren we did
In the face of insane oppression?
Do we shrug and say we sought relief from boredom?
Or do we proudly tell them we fought for the sacred water
The same water they drink
We drink
Water is life
